Recently, some pests and diseases have arisen and damaged on some litchi areas in Bac Giang. Specifically: Brown stink bug has damaged large areas of litchi gardens, the infected area is 576 hectares and weighs 10 hectares (430 hectares have been excluded). Downy mildew has caused local damage, the infected area is 170 ha and weighs 10 ha (322 hectares have been prevented). Anthracnose caused local damage, the infected area is 81 ha, heavy 5 ha (165 ha excluded).

In particular, fruit borer has arisen and caused harm on the infected area of ​​205 ha (800 ha prevented). Plant Protection Department recommends that in the coming time, the litchi stem borer will mature from April 20, April 25-30, suggest localities check and prevent after 25/4 onwards at the stage of fruit pulling. lepers.

For brown bugs, young bugs still continue to bloom, especially dense gardens with high density of bugs, continue to prevent until April 30, when young bugs get the highest effect. For anthracnose, the period of preventing disease is after 25/4 on infected gardens.

In Hai Duong, the area of ​​2020 litchi crop is about 9,700 ha. In particular, litchi tea is expected to be harvested from May 5-30, 2020, and lychee tea is expected to be harvested from June 1-25, 2020. Early lychee tea is currently in the stage of entering the lepers – clearing the pulp (2,200 ha); lychee tea in the main season of about 7,500 hectares is in the early stage of fruit development (size from fructification to fruiting by the end of chopsticks).
